Former fc Nogoom forward Tosin Omoyele, who now plies his trade with the ‘Jos Elephant’ Plateau United have reiterated how tough it will be for the aforementioned Jos based side to win the Nigeria Professional Football League title, as teams are waxing stronger, as the season continue to near climax.
How Rangers of Enugu sprang up from 17th on the log to 4th is still rocket science, the flying Antelopes were languishing in the relegation zone as at February, before you say ‘Jack Robinson’ they are now 4th on the log with 37 points, even ahead Enyimba,
Omoyele confirmed this in a chat with Opera News Unsigned Writer Kenny Bamidele.
‘it is a challenge for us because most team wish to win the league
but with our determination and hardwork we pray it will be easy for us’
Enyimba are currently 5th with 36 points, they also have 5 games in hand, 13 points behind table toppers Plateau, but this tally could be reduced if they can make most of their 5 outstanding games.
Teams like Lobi Stars and Rivers United are also in strong contention for the title. Rivers United are currently placed 2nd with 4 points behind Plateau United, while Lobi Stars are ranked 3rd with 43 points.
Rivers United, Lobi Stars, Rangers and Enyimba will all give Plateau United a big run for their money.
For now there is no League actions, after the League Management company confirm the indefinite suspension of the the Nigeria Professional League. This unpredicted break will instead give teams time to refill energy so they will return well galvanized. Even though those Players will not be allowed to train in the public space for now until the risk of the Virus diminish.
