Minutes after the declaration of Duoye Diri as the winner of Bayelsa Gbernatorial election, controversies sparked across the state. This made the Bayelsa State Police Command on Friday imposed a three-day curfew in the state after.
The curfew was announced by the Commissioner of Police in the state, Uche Anozia, on Friday.Anozia said the curfew would last from Friday to Sunday.
The commissioner disclosed that eight persons had been arrested so far for violent conduct following the protest rocking different parts of the state.
He warned residents to obey the curfew as violators would be arrested.
